The Nether Drake..

A new mount I am working on is the Nether Drake.  This awesome flying mount is not easy to obtain.  While there is not a lot of hard battling and mob fighting, you do have to gain an exalted reputation with the Netherwing faction.  There is a great guide giving you everything you need to get there located at WoWHead.com.  Here are a couple of pics I took of my Death Knight riding one in Shadowmoon Valley.

If you try for this mount, good luck, it is expected to be at least a week grind.

Now For The Lighter Side..

A History lesson

For those that don't know about history ...Here is a condensed version:

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals, and

2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement. Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and  beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant.

Liberals are symbolized by the jackass. Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.

Another interesting evolutionary side note:

most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production.  Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

Here ends today's lesson in world history:

It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above.

A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be immediately emailed to other true believers and to more liberals just to tick them off.

A Great Video From The Past..

Ole Archie Bunker seemed to have it right even in the 70's..  A Facebook friend posted this on the wall and I just had to run with it and post it here..

Videos You Must Watch..

The more these get around to people the better..  If you love this country, it is your duty to share these and wake up the masses that are the only ones that can change what is going on in Washington.. When you think about ignoring this, remember your kids and grand kids, we owe it to them not to leave them a legacy of debt and bad policies.   We need to take charge and send this country back in the right direction.  Are we to the point where we look to government for everything?  What happened to the idea of working hard for your money.  Now, you work hard for your money to give it away to those that do nothing.  The same people who are on every government program and drive the expensive cars, wear $150 dollar shoes, wear $200 dollar clothes, have expensive stereo systems, and all other sorts of things.  Where has America gone?  We need to stand up and bring America back to its glory and those in Washington are not going to do it..  Stop electing people that don’t listen to the people..  There are those that need to be replaced, the ones that got us here in the first place..

Never give up never surrender !!

GOD BLESS THESE UNITED STATES !!

GOD BLESS AMERICA..

Glenn Beck's 9/12 Project..

This is a site that you need to keep an eye on..  It is a site that will hopefully bring a lot of people together, help through this time of uncertainty and hopefully give answers to those that need them..  Glenn explains a little bit about it below..

Quoted from Glenn's 9/12 Project site..
"Mission Statement

This website is a place for you and other like-minded Americans looking for direction in taking back the control of our country. It is also a place to find information that will assist you in navigating the rough waters we face in the days, weeks and months ahead.

We suggest that you start in your own homes. Talk to your family about the Values and Principles. Discuss the importance of what the Founders designed for America.

Hold or attend a weekly meeting in your neighborhood or town. Communication with your neighbors is vital to the process of protecting our country. Gather in living rooms, coffee houses or restaurants. Share your thoughts and ideas.

Visit this website often. Make use of the resources that are linked here. Share the ideas and resources that have worked in your home or town.

This is a non-political movement. The 9-12 Project is designed to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001. The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with Red States, Blue States or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created.

That same feeling – that commitment to country is what we are hoping to foster with this idea. We want to get everyone thinking like it is September 12th, 2001 again.

Ask yourself these questions:

* Do you watch the direction that America is being taken in and feel powerless to stop it?
* Do you believe that your voice isn’t loud enough to be heard above the noise anymore?
* Do you read the headlines everyday and feel an empty pit in your stomach…as if you’re completely alone?

If you’ve answered YES, then you’ve fallen for the Wizard of Oz lie. While the voices you hear in the distance may sound intimidating, as if they surround us from all sides—the reality is very different. Once you pull back the curtain, you realize that there are only a few people pressing the buttons, and their voices are weak. The truth is that they don’t surround us at all.

We surround them.

At the origin of America, our Founding Fathers built this country on 28 powerful principles. These principles were culled from all over the world and from centuries of great thinkers. We have distilled the original 28 down to the 9 basic principles.

So, how do we show America what’s really behind the curtain? Read the nine simple principles. If you believe in at least seven of them, then we have something in common.

Welcome."

Just How Much Is A Trillion Dollars...

Sit back and let Glenn explain.  This will boggle the mind when you see just how much money is being spent..  Where are we going to get all this money to pay this debt back?  The answer..  Our children and grandchildren will be paying this back.  The road ahead is a dark, dark place..

Some Random Sites New To Me..

So, I am learning the Twitter thing, it is a cool site and can be very addicting.  I have been able to effectively Twitter from my Instinct phone and have tried several different third party programs for Twitter..  The one I find easiest to use out of all of them is TweetDeck.  It will let you organize people by group or favorites.  It will let you filter and search the columns, do just about everything you need.  You can also just follow them all in a single column, which tends to be a bit confusing..  If you are new to twitter, it is worth checking it out..

Facebook, yeah Facebook.  I just signed up not too long ago, but I have seen people complaining about the new format.  I am not sure what that was, so I can not elaborate on that aspect.  However, the "new" Facebook, while interesting is just nothing like I expected.  I am thinking of just staying with MySpace and Twitter for now, but still undecided.  First thing, Facebook needs to be a bit more customizable, does it not?  I understand they don't want it to look like another MySpace but give us a little more to mess around with.  So far I see it as a bland and uninviting social network.  Since I am only into it about a week and a half that might change over time, IF I still proceed to use it.

A new music site I saw mentioned on Twitter last night, Grooveshark.  A Java based internet music hosting site that lets you post, listen to, or link music to blogs via export to widget, Twitter, StumbleUnpon and Facebook.  You download the uploader which is java based and it lets you pick the directories and folders you want to add music from.  I was able to upload songs but not all of them, I think it was because of them being mostly iTunes format.  But it still still got a lot of the good ones uploaded.  I think it is worth checking out, at least once..

Why Don't We Have Presidents Like This Any More ?

A video of Ronald Wilson Reagan's Farewell address.  Where have the values, goals, American spirit, drive, and honesty gone?  I was just a teenager when he was president, I never really took interest in anything about politics.  Now after his passing several years ago I have come to the realization of just how much he meant to the country.  I wish I had paid closer attention to him then..

We need more people like him in Washington these days..  It would be much better than what is there now...

Vaclav Klaus On Glenn Beck..

What amazing insight from an incredible man.  The ideas that this man talks about are dead on, this is worth the the look.

This is something that Washington needs to hear..

Half An Episode Is Better Than None..

Ghost Hunters started off with a bang last night with the first show of the new season.  The first part of the episode was great, they had a great K2 exchange with an entity still present at the mill.  It actually followed them to different areas, this was verified by indications from the K2 meter.  The entity was that of a small boy, who when asked, indicated that he was 9.  You have to find and watch that first part of the show.  The second investigation turned up nothing really tangible, which is always a small let down after such a good start.  But, sometimes this happens more than the times that you do find something.

All in all, it was a great show and if the first part was any indication, this season is going to be awesome..

Well My Friends Finally Got To Me..

Well, a bunch of my friends have been looking up my Facebook page.  I signed up along time ago to join a talk show host and now everyone is coming looking for me..  Kind of funny really, had no idea there were so many people I knew that were on there..

Might be something to check out if you are interested..

New Ghost Hunters Starts Tomorrow..

As we say goodbye to Ghost Hunters: International for the season, we hook up with the original Ghost Hunter Series.  GHI was great this last season so I cannot wait to see what comes up with Jason and Grant..  Will have to wait until tomorrow night, hope the first episode is worth the wait..

Well, the new MySpace Is Coming Along Too..

I have gone back to MySpace and have revamped my profile..  I based it off this blog theme that I worked up.  The only problem I am having is that the resolution on this laptop is very high it is hard to design for lower ones.  When I check some lower resolution computers things look out of place and very large..  Will have to work a bit on that..

Twitter Is A Interesting Site...

I just signed up on Twitter and it is turning out to be a really cool place.  It is almost Myspace in a way.  Myspace is something I am looking at again as well.  But, twitter seems to be more fun.  If you have time to jot down a message every now and then it might be for you.  You can sign up here..

Redesigning The Blog..

Will be working on a redesign of the blog to make it look a little more cool.  Not sure what I will come up with, but I am going to give it a try..

If things look a little tweaked at times, they will be fixed as time allows.

Some Other Reds...

Here are a few more of my treasures...

Red Light My Firebird...

And the odd ball green Mantis...

Gotta love them oldies...

Where The Xploder Casting Came From..

Here are a couple of photos of the original AMX/2 prototype..  I don't think it ever made it to any type of production status.  Would be cool to see today though..

Again, would have been nice to have one...

A Few New Things...

Picked up a few new redlines over the past few weeks..  I must admit this much more fun than running around from store to store looking for treasure hunts..

First are the Peeping Bombs in Red, Purple, and Orange..

Next are the Swingin Wings in green and red...

I have a couple more Wings coming in this week..  A very cool one that I really love is the Xploder also called the amx/2 and then renamed Warpath.  This is a blue Xploder and a Rose Amx/2..

My collection of the Xploder body casting..  You can see other favorites in there, as well as, the bombs..

This can be very addictive...  But much more fun to collect..
