The Legend Of The Seeker..

A new show by the people who brought you Xena and Hercules. The Legend Of The Seeker comes from a series of books from what I understand and is now being adapted for TV. I have watched all four episodes of this new series and find it a great and entertaining series. I have read that some are arguing that it does not follow the books precisely. Again, here we go with the naysayers, but this is a great show. I wish every episode was two hours.. Here is a trailer for the new show.. It is also available on iTunes and local television.. Check your local listing from their neat search engine on the main site HERE..

The New Star Trek XI Trailer..

A new trailer was recently released for the new film in the Star Trek series.  Looks pretty interesting, it sure does look action packed.  Now, I wonder what all those Trek morons are saying about how this is not in line with the cannon of the series, get over it people..  I maybe a sci-fi nut and Star Trek fan but will never limit my view as to what is right or wrong based on technical manuals..  I think those goons are funny to be able to quote and describe every detail of everything down to the atom...   Anyway here is the new trailer, enjoy...

And as always, "Live Long And Prosper."

49ers Vs Cowboys

UGH, as if it cannot get any worse, the 49ers when down in flames Sunday losing to the Cowboys 35-22.  You know, after their start this year I had high expectations for the rest of the season.  When are they going to learn not to pull running plays at the goal line until they have some power in the offensive line.  The first three field goals should have been touchdowns and they just screwed around and messed up.

Oh well, hopefully next season will be better.  I have not and will not ever give up hope for my team though.  Like the true fan, I will always be with them through the loses and wins..

The New Message Board..

Well, it is going ok.  Getting use to creating one of these darn things.  Turns out to be quite the task, but I am getting there.  Feel free to visit and say hello.  Once I get some other forums tied in and tied down, I will work more on the graphics aspect.  Hopefully, it will become a great place to hang out and chat.  Again feel free to stop in and say hi..  You can reach it via this link..

Some Funny Pics For The Day..

Just thought I would throw these up for some laughs..  Found them viewing images from Google..

Enjoy...

Monday Night 49ers Game..

Being far from the west coast, this will be one of the only times I will be able to see my team play on television.  Tonight they take on the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football.  Now, with another change in the quarterback and some others, we will see if they can come back to where they were at the beginning.  We shall see, but make sure to put your game face on..

What A Great Picture...

Found this also while searching images on Google..  I am wondering where this was done and under what circumstances.   Makes for a great greeting card pic doesn't it.  Something like, "Now and then, everyone needs a hug"...

One Awesome Cat..

Called the Bengal Cat, these guys are just plain awesome.  Came across a picture of these guys over the weekend doing image searches on Google.  I think these are the best breed of cat I have ever seen.  I added a blog site and website on the right hand column of my blog for more information.  They are a little high in price but I think they are well worth it.  They also are said to be very smart and very personable.  I have two cats of my own, so I am not in a position to have one.  But, perhaps further in the future..  Here are a few other pictures I came across..

CafePress And My Custom Designs..

I have opened a store at CafePress.com to try my hand at designing some stuff that people may enjoy buying.   I only have one item so far, it is my take on a bumper sticker for Sarah Palin in 2012.  I used a custom designed pit bull logo that I got from an idea I saw on the web somewhere.  I went through the task of getting a picture of a pit bull, grayed it out, and sliced it up to look like the Republican Party Logo.  Blue up top with the three stars and cut in half with red on the bottom.  I plan to come up with a few more designs for other stuff, just have to think them up..  You can view the one I have now at my CafePress store HERE.

Last Night's Ghost Hunters...

Last night the Ghost Hunters revealed their catches from Fort Delaware.  I didn't see anything I had not already seen, being a live broadcast.  One thing I had missed was the jacket pull from one of the other female investigators that was explained to be the microphone belt pack.

The other episode was very cool though.  The activity in the second investigation was crazy.  Definitely something going on there in that home.  It was sad that the owner feels as though they cannot live in their own home.  I did get a sense that it was only trying to communicate after she had explained that the entity had woken her in order to keep a pot for catching fire.  In looking at that instance, I would say that something could be set up for communication between the entity and the home owner.

Hot Wheels Collector Day...

Kmart is having another Hot Wheels Collector day event this Saturday at 9 am.  Check with your local stores to confirm or you can check HERE for a listing of participating stores.  Three exclusive color cars and two first to market cars.  Also, you have your chance at the all elusive Treasure Hunts.  There is also an exclusive mail-in car as well.  Check out the link for more information..

Ghost Hunters Tonight..

Tonight is the reveal for all the evidence collected during their live Halloween special.  I am interested in what else they caught either on video or audio.  There have been several skeptics trying to debunk the pulling of Grant's jacket.  While some of them look possible, I really do not think the Ghost Hunters would do that to their audience.  So tonight we shall watch and see.

Stargate Worlds Is Coming Along..

With more screenshots and videos being released we can imagine how great this thing will be.   Check out more at Stargateworlds.com.  Don't forget you can also sign up for the beta test there as well..

Great Pic And Caption...

Saw this at the Glenn Beck website.  I had to post it over here just for kicks..

The photo above captures a disturbing trend that is beginning to affect wildlife in the USA .

Animals that were formerly self-sufficient are now showing signs of
belonging to the Democratic Party... as they have apparently learned to
simply sit and wait for the government to provide for their care and
sustenance.

Ghost Hunters Halloween Live..

These are two videos of the Ghost Hunters Live Halloween investigation.  If you watch closely in the first one you will see Grant's coat get pulled at the collar.  This happens three times and you can see it happen every time.  What a great catch, check it out below...

In the next video you can hear a voice say, "You're not suppose to be here" twice.  Another great catch by the Ghost Hunters..

Watch Wednesday at their regular time to see the rest of the evidence checked out and revealed..

Another New MMO..

Got a new e-mail yesterday about Star Wars: The Old Republic.  The screen shots look nice, but how will this fair with MMO players.  I hear a lot of people complaining about Star Wars: Galaxies and how bad it got.  Will this suffer the same fate?  It looks like it will be in developing for some time.  I could not find any info about release date or beta testing, so I am guessing it is still relatively new in programming.  This will be a joint effort between Lucasarts and Bioware.  I know that Bioware has produced some good games, so it will be interesting to see what they come up with as far as this MMO.  You can check out more HERE.  Here is a shot I got from the site..  Oh, there are a few bugs on their site, guess all new things have issues..

Election 2008..

Make sure you get out there and vote.  There are some states that have early voting, so if you your state has it, do it.

Remember: If you don't vote, you cannot complain about the outcome..

Sarah Palin Takes Aim At SNL...

Sarah Palin has agreed to do SNL.  In his interview on The Late Show, Sen. John McCain said it should be this Saturday.  This should be very interesting, although she is quoted as saying she does not know what her part of the skit entails.  I hope they at least do her justice and don't try to demean her.  This will be the first time in many years I will actually tune in and watch.

Glenn Beck Moving To Fox News..

Confirmed from Glenn Beck's website, Glenn will be changing over to Fox News.  I could not find an exact date as to when, but it does say he will be in the 5pm/6pm E/C slot.  That spot was held by John Gibson and Heather Nauert.  This is great news, I never go over to CNN, I also plan to use my DVR to record it.  Nice addition Fox News, another great talent to the lineup.

Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen..

This proves to be a great movie.  It will introduce many new transformers that were not able to be placed in the first movie because of money constraints.  So far there have been many leaked photos and on set videos leaking out.   One thing I am very thrilled about is the inclusion of Soundwave..   Although there is no confirmed word as to what he will be, I hope it will be true to his character.  Since it has been mentioned that Laserbeak and Ravage will also show up, it would only make sense that he would be some sort of audio device.  However, they kind of threw that out in the first movie by making Frenzy a portable radio..   Ah Well, guess we will need to wait and see..

Star Trek XI

Where are we going..

Set to release next May, which will include the first true trailer for Transformers 2, will be interesting to say the least.  With the exception of DS9, I have been a big fan of all the series.  I loved Enterprise because it was different, new, and towards it's end was getting so much better.  But since there were so many that, for a lack better of words can recite cannon on cue, it pretty much caused it to suffer.  There are those that enjoy the new stuff and I understand different views but it was a great series.  Anywho, this will prove to be an interesting movie to say the least..  I just cannot wait..

The New Vision In Online Gaming..

Here it comes..

Stargate Worlds is rapidly approaching it's closed beta testing phase and some lucky people will have the chance to play and test it before it goes live.   It looks promising, although I am guessing that once things start getting tested we shall see.  It claims to be different than all the other MMOs, however, we will have to judge ourselves.  For me, I cannot wait to see just what all the hype is all about and get good look at it..

The New K.I.T.T..

This new series has potential.  I kind of like it, there are a few things that leave you scratching your head though.  I find it Knight Rider with a twist of Transformers.  The Mustang would not have been my first choice of cars but it has started to grow on me.  I guess we will have to see how things go in the long run..  Check it out Wednesday night at 8E / 7C on NBC.

You can also watch the full episodes HERE.

Getting A Few More Things Going..

Been working recently at getting this thing going again..

With the election coming I have been adding a few political items to the blog.  You may not agree with them and that is fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion..

Thanks for looking..

An Interesting E-mail..

Received an interesting e-mail the other day, thought I would post it here..

Dear Friends:

My name is Joe Porter. I live in Champaign, Illinois. I'm 46 years old, a born-again Christian, a husband, a father, a small business owner, a veteran, and a homeowner. I don't consider myself to be either conservative or liberal, and I vote for the person, not Republican or Democrat. I don't believe there are "two Americas, " but that every person in this country can be whomever and whatever they want to be if they'll just work to get there and nowhere else on earth can they find such opportunities. I believe our government should help those who are legitimately downtrodden, and should always put the interests of America.

The purpose of this message is that I'm concerned about the future of this great nation. I'm worried that the silent majority of honest, hard-working, tax-paying people in this country have been passive for too long. Most folks I know choose not to involve themselves in politics. They go about their daily lives, paying their bills, raising their kids, and doing what they can to maintain the good life. They vote and consider doing so to be a sacred trust. They shake their heads at the political pundits and so-called "news", thinking that what they hear is always spun by whomever is reporting it. They can't understand how elected officials can regularly violate the public trust with pork barrel spending. They don't want government handouts. They want the government to protect them, not raise their taxes for more government programs.

We are in the unique position in this country of electing our leaders. It's a privilege to do so. I've never found a candidate in any election with whom I agreed on everything. I'll wager that most of us don't even agree with our families or spouses 100% of the time. So when I step into that voting booth, I always try to look at the big picture and cast my vote for the man or woman who is best qualified for the job. I've hired a lot of people in my lifetime, and essentially that's what an election is - a hiring process. Who has the credentials? Whom do I want working for me? Whom can I trust to do the job right?

I'm concerned that a growing number of voters in this country simply don't get it. They are caught up in a fervor they can't explain, and calling it "change".

"Change what?", I ask.

"Well, we're going to change America", they say.

"In what way?", I query.

"We want someone new and fresh in the White House", they exclaim.

"So, someone who's not a politician?", I say.

"Uh, well, no, we just want a lot of stuff changed, so we're voting for Obama", they state.

"So the current system, the system of freedom and democracy that has enabled a man to grow up in this great country, get a fine education, raise incredible amounts of money and dominate the news, and win his party's nomination for the White House that system's all wrong?"

"No, no, that part of the system's okay we just need a lot of change."

"Change we can believe in."

Quite frankly, I don't believe that vague proclamations of change hold any promise for me. In recent months, I've been asking virtually everyone I encounter how they're voting. I live in Illinois, so most folks tell me they're voting for Barack Obama. But no one can really tell me why only that he's going to change a lot of stuff "Change, change, change." I have yet to find one single person who can tell me distinctly and convincingly why this man is qualified to be President and Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful nation on earth other than the fact that he claims he's going to implement a lot of change.

We've all seen the emails about Obama's genealogy, his upbringing, his Muslim background, and his church affiliations. Let's ignore this for a moment. Put it all aside. Then ask yourself, "What qualifies this man to be my president? That he's a brilliant orator and talks about change?"

CHANGE WHAT?

Friends, I'll be forthright with you I believe the American voters who are supporting Barack Obama don't have a clue what they're doing, as evidenced by the fact that not one of them - NOT ONE of them I've spoken to can spell out his qualifications. Not even the most liberal media can explain why he should be elected. Political experience? Negligible. Foreign relations? Non-existent. Achievements? Name one. Someone who wants to unite the country? If you haven't read his wife's thesis from Princeton, look it up on the web. This is who's lining up to be our next First Lady? The only thing I can glean from Obama's constant harping about change is that we're in for a lot of new taxes.

For me, the choice is clear. I've looked carefully at the two leading applicants for the job, and I've made my choice.

Here's a question - "Where were you five and a half years ago? Around Christmas, 2002. You've had five or six birthdays in that time. My son has grown from a sixth grade child to a high school graduate. Five and a half years is a good chunk of time. About 2,000 days. 2,000 nights of sleep. 6, 000
meals, give or take."

John McCain spent that amount of time, from 1967 to 1973, in a North Vietnamese prisoner-of-war camp.

When offered early release, he refused it. He considered this offer to be a public relations stunt by his captors, and insisted that those held longer than he should be released first. Did you get that part? He was offered his freedom, and he turned it down. A regimen of beatings and torture began.

Do you possess such strength of character? Locked in a filthy cell in a foreign country, would you turn down your own freedom in favor of your fellow man? I submit that's a quality of character that is rarely found, and for me, this singular act defines John McCain.

Unlike several presidential candidates in recent years whose military service is questionable or non-existent, you will not find anyone to denigrate the integrity and moral courage of this man. A graduate of Annapolis, during his Naval service he received the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross. His own son is now serving in the Marine Corps in Iraq. Barack Obama is fond of saying "We honor John McCain's service... BUT...", which to me is condescending and offensive - because what I hear is, "Let's forget this man's sacrifice for his country, and his proven leadership abilities, and talk some more about change."

I don't agree with John McCain on everything - but I am utterly convinced that he is qualified to be our next President, and I trust him to do what's right. I know in my heart that he has the best interests of our country in mind. He doesn't simply want to be President - he wants to lead America, and there's a huge difference. Factually, there is simply no comparison between the two candidates. A man of questionable background and motives who prattles on about change, can't hold a candle to a man who has devoted his life in public service to this nation, retiring from the Navy in1981 and elected to the senate in1982.

Perhaps Obama's supporters are taking a stance between old and new. Maybe they don't care about McCain's service or his strength of character, or his unblemished qualifications to be President. Maybe "likability" is a higher priority for them than "trust". Being a prisoner of war is not what qualifies John McCain to be President of the United States of America - but his demonstrated leadership certainly DOES.

Dear friends, it is time for us to stand. It is time for thinking Americans to say, "Enough." It is time for people of all parties to stop following the party line. It is time for anyone who wants to keep America first, who wants the right man leading their nation, to start a dialogue with all their friends and neighbors and ask who they're voting for, and why.

There's a lot of evil in this world. That should be readily apparent to all of us by now. And when faced with that evil as we are now, I want a man who knows the cost of war on his troops and on his citizens. I want a man who puts my family's interests before any foreign country.

I want a President who's qualified to lead.

I want my country back, and I'm voting for John McCain.

I think this hits the point straight on.  Don't care if you ya don't like it, but it makes a great point..

Stargate Atlantis Gets Cancelled...

Those that witnessed the ending of Stargate SG-1 are now subjected to the ending of Stargate Atlantis. This is sad really since the show was really good, at least in my own opinion. While it did not have the flair that SG-1 did, there was just something about this show that was attractive. I will get some more up this evening like links and such. There is also a petition going around to those that want to sign it. Will it be given new hope, only time will tell..

Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull....

Well, like some of those die hard fans out there, I decided to go to the midnight showing of the movie. After seeing it I have come away with mixed feelings. I am sure there are those out there that will love it and some that will hate it. I find myself in between those, however. I do not want to be one of those that gives a bunch of spoilers away, so I will try to be as candid as I can. I do have to say that when I saw the casting list I could see a subplot to the overall movie. The only thing I will say is, include Marion from ROTA and her teenage son that is told to seek out Indy for help, you have to put two and two together.

There are some great action scenes which include car chases, climbing through ruins, and the old style fist fights. There is some great humor streamed throughout the movie also and Harrison Ford always makes it work.. But as the movie goes on it gets a bit readable. It is a good movie, do not get me wrong, but as Indy movies go I think it falls a bit short. I would place this in the same category as Temple of Doom, which I never really got into. There is just something lacking about the film and with the inclusion of Roswell elements and a large odd looking skull which should have looked more realistic, it kind of seems out of place.

Out of a scale from one to five I would go with a three. But, as I always say, this is just one person's opinion. If you like Indy films then you will have to see it and form your own opinion, as others will do.. Do not let this opinion persuade you not to see it, again, it is not a bad movie I just wish they would have kept to a more archaeology principle rather than aliens and mind/mental warfare...

The New Season...

This fourth season of Ghost Hunters has been great. The best episode so far has been the Wright-Patterson Airbase from last week. My favorite part of the episode was the actual manipulation of the flashlight. It actually turned on by itself and stayed on for quite some time. I really wish they would have captured more of the shadow person in the shipping area, oh well, I cannot wait until more episodes..

What a busy few months....

Planning on getting back into the swing of things this coming week.. Sorry for the delay..

Hopefully, it will be worth the stop by..

New Ghost Hunters..

Hope everyone that is a Ghost Hunters fan is catching the new show, Ghost Hunters International. So far I like it a lot. It gives a slightly different aspect due to the fact that most of these places have been around long before the US was even established. To actually investigate castles were Kings ruled back to the 16 and 17 hundreds, maybe even farther back than that. I am sure it will only get better..

My Mustang Mach 1 Collection...

Just finished putting together a page for my Hot Wheels Mach 1 collection. Here is the link. It was fun to do but a bit trying at times, needed to work and learn Dreamweaver. Has been a long while since I put together a web page with pics, especially that many. Hope you look and make any suggestions about what it might need. I may be missing a few variations and whatnot. I used South Texas Diecast as a guide. The images with "Coming Soon" are ones I have acquired, they just are not here quite yet..

Thanks for the look..
